Dog Inn overturned a two-goal deficit to win this exciting pre-season encounter at Haslingden Sports Centre.
The Whalley side took the lead through Liam Kinney, but then sloppy play gifted two quick goals to Arden.
Liam Hill-Parker equalised with a composed finish from outside the box, before Arden regained the lead from a poorly-defended short corner.
The Accrington side extended their lead in the second half, before Hill-Parker reduced the deficit.
Captain Nick Lord netted Dog’s equaliser from the penalty spot, before defender Mark Howell headed them in front on his debut.
Dylan Adams then rounded off a lovely passing move – and the scoring – with a fine finish for his first Dog goal.
Dog manager Simon Kerins was delighted: “We were beating ourselves for most of the game, but our quality eventually shone through.
“And, by the end, the passes were sticking and we were playing some lovely football.”
The Harry Dewhurst Memorial League season gets underway on Sunday, September 3rd.
Dog Inn’s first game is at Heys, while Sabden host Clayton Park Rangers on the same date.
The following week, Dog Inn entertain Sabden in a Ribble Valley derby.
