Community team retain North West award

For the second year running, Burnley FC in the Community have been crowned Community Club of the Year at the MBNA North West Football Awards.

The glittering ceremony, held on Monday evening at Lancashire County Cricket Club, celebrated the great and good of football in the North West, both on and off the pitch.

Heaping praise on Burnley FC in the Community, the panel of respected judges commended the passion, drive and tenacity of the organisation that has experienced another year of unprecedented growth and outreach.

Speaking of the evening’s success, Neil Hart, CEO of Burnley FC in the Community said: “It’s very special for the team to retain this award, and I’d like to thank the North West Football Awards for this fantastic endorsement of the work we’re doing.
