Clarets one of cheapest Premier League clubs to support
Turf Moor is one of the cheapest places to watch the Premier League a new survey has revealed.
The cheapest Burnley season ticket, priced at Â£329 is 30% below the league average. Hull City have the cheapest in the league at just Â£252.
The most expensive Burnley season ticket, priced Â£580, is 33% below the league average according to the BBC’s Price of Football report.
And the Clarets also have the cheapest adult replica shirts at Â£40. Manchester Citu and United fans pay the highest price of Â£60.
The cost of buying a pie on match days at Turf Moor is reported to be Â£3. That is 49p below the Premier League average. West Ham’s pies are the most expensive at Â£4.10p - and seven other English clubs charge Â£4 And a cup of Burnley tea will set you back Â£2 against an average of Â£2.07p.
Burnley’s award-winning programme is priced at Â£3. The average price is Â£3.37p.
Burnley chief executive David Baldwin said: “ What’s very evident about Burnley as a town is that it is very much a one-club town. You very rarely see other club colours being worn around the town. It is very much claret and blue.
“We don’t take that for granted because what we have to be conscious of is what is affordable to people. You don’t want them to fall out of the love of football.
“We’ve established this year a fans’ forum so fans can discuss ticket prices for next year and we already have a number of supporter consultant groups that we discuss our pricing policy with before it goes forward for a recommendation.”
