Burnley FC manager Sean Dyche and his players will be officially welcomed by the Mayor of Burnley, Councillor Liz Monk, at 6 p.m.

The Clarets heroes will then appear on the balcony of the town hall around 6-15 p.m. to be interviewed by writer, broadcaster and avid Clarets fan Alastair Campbell.

This will be followed by an open-top bus parade to the club’s ground.

The route will start at the corner of Grimshaw Street/Manchester Road and follow Red Lion Street/Centenary Way/Yorkshire Street and finally Harry Potts Way.

Once the bus arrives at Turf Moor, the event will finish as club staff enjoy a private promotion party.

Burnley FC chairman Mike Garlick said: “We are naturally delighted to be back in the Premier League and feel it is right that we share the joy of a landmark moment in our history with the people of the town.

“Our thanks go to Burnley Council for inviting us to a Civic reception and we look forward greatly to seeing the fans turn out in their thousands to acclaim Sean and the players for a fabulous achievement.”

The Mayor added: “It’s fantastic to see Burnley back where it belongs – in the Premier League. Everyone at the club, and all the supporters, have done a brilliant job in getting us back into the best football league in the world.

“Burnley FC and Burnley as a town have a connection like no other – when the club is doing well it puts a smile on everyone’s faces, whether you’re a fan or not, and it gives the whole borough a massive boost. “It was said when we were promoted back in 2014 and it’s worth repeating now - Burnley truly is a premier town and now we have a premier club again. I’m sure we all look forward to welcoming some of the biggest clubs in the world to Turf Moor – and beating them!”

The town hall car park will be closed all day. Some other town centre pay and display car parks will be affected. Notices will go up on these car parks to alert users.

There will be some disruption to town centre traffic and bus services.

Manchester Road, between Saunder Bank and Yorke Street, will have restricted access from 10 a.m. until after the event due to the installation of crowd safety barriers in front of the town hall and Mechanics Theatre.
