Burnley youths reach semi-final

BURNLEY reached the FA Youth Cup semi-finals for the first time since 1978 as they knocked Fulham out at Craven Cottage tonight.

And their reward is a mouth-watering two-legged tie against old enemy Blackburn Rovers.

Robbie Minkwitz gave Fulham an early lead with a 30-yarder that deceived Josh Cook.

Howieson put Burnley ahead within a minute of the restart, heading in Steve Hewitt's free kick, before Shay McCartan's delightful solo effort sealed the win.
