Burnley Ladies maintain perfect start to the season with victory over Accrington

The lady Clarets started the second period with gusto and Greenhalgh broke the offside trap and deftly lobbed the keeper to extend Burnley’s lead.

Hide AdThe third goal duly arrived just after the hour, when Greenhalgh latched on to a sublime pass from Emily Forrest and calmly steered the ball into the bottom corner.
The visitors pulled a goal back with five minutes remaining when goalkeeper Karly Bland was beaten by a deflection.
However, Hayton rounded off the scoring in stoppage time after exchanging passes with Jo Rohman.
Burnley travel to face Birkenhead Ladies on Sunday (kick off 2 p.m.).
