Clarets boss Sean Dyche was happy with his lot after setting a post-War record of 19 home league games without defeat with a 3-1 win over Millwall on Saturday.

Goals either side of half-time from top-scorer Danny Ings - taking his tally to 24 for the season - and a first of the campaign from Dean Marney cancelled out Martyn Woolford’s opener, as Burnley climbed above QPR into second place in the Championship.

And Dyche said: “It was a very thorough performance, high quality in the conditions.

“We played some excellent football and it was a very dominant display.

“I was really proud, and commended the players for the way they reacted after going behind.

“They didn’t panic and got back to playing, shifting the ball quickly and putting some great quality into the box.

“We’ve got a strikeforce to be reckoned with, and the front six were excellent.”
