Burnley above Rangers, Celtic, Leeds, Monaco, Marseille and PSV in latest Euro rankings

Burnley are 52nd in euroclubindex.com's most recent ranking of over 700 top flight European clubs.

Manchester City are top, ahead of Bayern Münich, Barcelona, Real Madrid and Liverpool, with Atlético Madrid, Paris Saint-Germain, Manchester United, Chelsea and RB Leipzig rounding out the top 10.

Burnley's ranking puts them ahead of clubs such as SPL champions Rangers (54th), Dynamo Kyiv (57th), Club Brugge (58th), AS Monaco (59th), Werder Bremen (60th) and PSV (61st),

as well as Aston Villa (64th), Leeds (75th) and Newcastle (75th), with Marseille (69th), Celtic (83rd) and Galatasaray (84th) also trailing the Clarets.

It means the club is ranked 12th in England overall.

The Euro Club Index is a ranking of football teams in the top level of all European countries, "showing their relative playing strengths at a given point in time, and the development of playing strengths in time."

Clubs are rated on their domestic and European performances over the last four seasons - in which time Burnley have finished 7th and 10th in the Premier League and qualified for the Europa League in 2018.
