Blackburn Rovers’ Phil Jones is hoping to make his comeback on the Premier League derby with Blackpool on March 16th.
The 19-year-old defender, who has made 32 appearances for the club, has missed 11 matches after knee surgery in December.
He has told the media that his recovery is ahead of schedule and the operation went well.
“I just can’t wait to get back out there,” he said.
The England under-21 international was injured in the 1-1 draw against West Ham, in new manager Steve Kean’s first match at the helm.
Jones hopes to return to training next week and is contracted to Blackburn until the summer of 2016.
