Clitheroe left back Seydou Bamba was disappointed to only draw with Burscough on Saturday - despite only taking a point with a late equaliser.
The Blues trailed to a goal from Eddie Toner four minutes from half-time at Shawbridge, after Clitheroe had dominated the opening period.
And they had to wait until three minutes from time to draw level, thanks to Jason Hart.
However, Simon Garner’s men are now unbeaten in four games, with only one defeat in eight, and, speaking after Saturday’s clash, former Squires Gate defender Bamba said: “We should have taken more than a point to be honest.
“In the first half, the amount of balls we had in the box, we should have got something.
“That’s football, we have the chances and don’t score, and then the other team go up the other end and score, and that’s what happened.”
The result keeps Clitheroe’s forward momentum going, however, as they look to push into the top 10, and Bamba added: “Overall our performance deserved more than just a point.
“It is testament to the side that we are disappointed after a draw against a tough side, but we have come on a lot in the last few months.”
