Clitheroe Wolves Under 8s Greens had a day to remember when they acted as mascots at the Accrington Stanley against Wycombe Wanderers match in League 2 earlier this month.

The team were supported by their coaches Bryan and Gav and 48 family and friends.

The young Wolves walked with the James Beattie’s side out on to the pitch prior to the game, and entertained the crowd at half-time, playing a short five-a-side game.

Although the weather was poor, the players were resplendent in kits sponsored by Capita Symonds and training jackets provided by Shaun McCullogh at Leafield Windows.

The team play in the Accrington and District Junior Football League.

Stanley drew 1-1 on the day with Wycombe, Peter Murphy netting a last-minute equaliser after Anthony Stewart’s 72nd-minute opener.
