Clitheroe CC are in the frame for success on and off the field as they gear up for the new season.

The redevelopment of the clubhouse at Chatburn Road has continued with the installation of new windows - supplied by local firm Ultraframe - with help from the backing of the Lancashire Cricket Board.

The work further adds to the impressive new look following the 2015 interior renovation of the reigning champions’ home.

Back then a team of volunteers transformed their dilapidated clubhouse into a modern function venue for cricketing, community and social events alike.

The work has been completed just in time for a busy week at the club, which sees the official start of Clitheroe Cobras junior training tonight, followed by the first home game of the season as the second XI entertain Burnley Belvedere on Saturday, culminating in a ‘Super Sunday’ as the first XI host Netherfield in the ECB National Knockout on Sunday.

The Ribblesdale League will hopefully get underway this weekend after the wet weather wiped out the opening fixtures.

Senior League: Brinscall v Settle; Clitheroe v Baxenden; Earby v Cherry Tree; Feniscowles v Euxton; Great Harwood v Salesbury; Oswaldtwistle Immanuel v Barnoldswick; Read v Ribblesdale Wanderers; Whalley v Padiham.
