Ribblesdale Wanderers Cricket and Bowling Club hosted an event on Sunday to launch a new bench in memory of Kath Tomlinson.

Kath was the wife of Ian Tomlinson, who owned Tomlinson’s Pie Shop in York Street, Clitheroe for many years.

The event was organised by Nicola Martin, daughter of Kath, to unveil the bench.

Daniel and Adam Tomlinson, grandsons of Kath Tomlinson, cut the ribbons, and Andrew Tomlinson made a speech in thanks.

There was then a fun bowling match and Daniel Tomlinson, in his first ever game, finished runner-up in the final – following in his grandma’s shoes!

Alan Dewhurst and Daniel lost 15-5 in the final to George Rushton and Brenda Pilling.
