After almost two months of lockdown, it’s likely that cabin fever has started to set it, and finding forms of entertainment is becoming increasingly challenging.

If you’ve been embracing video calling to keep in touch with loved ones while at home, you can now swap the weekly quiz for an online virtual escape room instead.

How does it work?

Trapped In The Web features a series of themed rooms that you must find your way out of by solving a series of puzzles.

There are five escape rooms to choose from, including a damaged space station, a cruise ship and a darkened theatre, each with their own mystery to solve. Each room is ranked according to its difficulty level, with one beginner level, two intermediate and two expert, so you can try a different challenge each time you play.

Players simply need to assemble their team, which can be done via video chat, text message, or gathered around the same screen, if you share the same household.

Once your team is ready, simply go online to make your way through the virtual rooms, solving the various puzzles to make your exit.

The website estimates that each room should provide around one to two hours worth of fun, depending on the skill level of your team.

How can I play?

The ‘Space Race’ room is currently on offer to play for just £3.49 for a limited period, if you want to see what the game is all about.

The remaining rooms are all priced at £7.99 each.

To play, simply visit the website and select the room you want to play.

And, if you get stuck along the way, there are a number of hints and tips on the website to help guide you through each game.
