Regarding Mr Duxbury applying for a husky training track off Greenfield Road, Colne, he says huskies don’t bark much.
But that doesn’t say how much noise they make before they start running.
My late husband had the first Siberian Husky in the area and the first red coloured in the country. We showed him successfully. They are not a breed you can let run free as they won’t come back, which I think is one of the main reasons so many need reforming.
We had ours in the 1970s when the breed was still relatively new in the UK. Speak to any of the breed note writers in Our Dog or Dog World. Mr Duxbury’s intentions may be all well and good, but I think anyone living within hearing distance will not be happy.
