A village haven for foodies has been given a glowing report in a national newspaper’s glossy supplement.

Food by Breda Murphy, at Abbots Court, Station Road, Whalley, was featured in the Sunday Telegraph’s Stella Magazine food section.

The writer described it as “a daytime bistro, deli and catering company all run from the family home” and added: “Breda’s signature fish pie (£12.75) is never off the menu (for fear of a local revolt), while the butternut fondant, with confit baby corn, is another seasonal favourite (£11.75).”

Breda Murphy runs the widely acclaimed business, and her head chef Gareth Bevan sources their ingredients locally.
