More than £4,000 was raised when the Ribble Valley Fundraising Group for Marie Curie completed the famous Morecambe Bay Crossing with the Queen’s Guide, Cedric Robinson.
Supporters from around the Ribble Valley and as far afield as Cheshire joined the group with £4k raised on the day for the Marie Curie charity.
The funds will be used to pay for nursing care and support in the Ribble Valley for people with a terminal illness. The £4,000 will help provide 22 hours of nursing care.
Members of the fundraising group expressed their thanks everyone for making the day such a success.
The group’s next event is Downham Fun Day on August 27th from 2 to 4pm. All are welcome.
