After two years of hard work to restore Clitheroe pub The Inn at the Station to its former glory, Louise and Gary Clough have achieved shining recognition with a four-star accreditation from Visit Britain.

After a mystery inspection visit, the official British Tourist Authority body deemed the refurbished town centre pub worthy of a rating much sought after in the competitive tourist industry.

Explaining what the accolade means to herself and her team, Louise said: “We’re delighted with the rating and so proud of what we’ve achieved. This beautiful building that is so much a part of the history of Clitheroe and a gateway to the town has been restored back to the thriving business it deserves to be. We’ve worked so hard to get things right and the rating means the public are clear about the standards which they can expect from us, whether just joining us for food and drinks, or staying overnight and enjoying breakfast. Our hard-working team are also assured they’re doing a great job for our customers and providing excellent customer service at all times.”
