Many churches are opening their doors to a whole range of community events in addition to core worship, religious activities and lifetime milestones of weddings, baptism and funerals.

Christ Church, Chatburn, will host a wedding celebration and the popular vintage afternoon tea event, from 2 to 4 pm on Saturday, April 9th, with proper tea, dainty cut finger sandwiches, divine home-made cakes and scones with jam and cream, all served on china, for only £5 with all proceeds donated to the church.

A photographic display of weddings that have taken place in Christ Church and the Methodist Church in Chatburn over the years will also be on show.
