VIDEO: Marsden Golf Course from the air
Conservative Councillor Neil McGowan has been helping to promote the “hidden gem” of a course and volunteered to use his unmanned aerial vehicle and camera to fly the stunning course and capture a video.
Opened in the late 1960s, Marsden Park has received praise from golfers across the country and local members for its immaculate condition, beautiful environment and ability to test golfers. The course, situated on the tops of Nelson, also offers tremendous views of the countryside, with incredible views of Pendle Hill.

McGowan said: “While I’ve been out filming this beautiful course, helping to support and promote it, I have met many players from across Pendle and the surrounding areas who had nothing but praise for the course. The staff that run the golf shop and the green keepers really deserve a pat on the back for a job well done!”
He went on: “I’m incredibly proud to represent the Marsden Ward on Nelson Town Council and have such an asset to our area in Marsden. I will continue to do all I can to support the Golf Course and other fantastic facilities we have in the area.”
