PUPILS from the Ribble Valley are today celebrating record breaking GCSE results.
Judith Child, headteacher of Clitheroe Royal Grammar School, said the results this year were impressive and outstanding. She went on to pay tribute to the hard work and dedication of all the students and their teachers.
“I am very proud and am delighted for them all.
“In total, 93% of all results were graded A*-B and an impressive 72% of all results received the highest grades of A*-A. Most students are now in the process of enrolling for further study at A-Level. “We are also delighted with the excellent results achieved by our Year 10 students who have received their GCSE module results today.”
Meanwhile, Simon Smith, headteacher of Ribblesdale High School Technology College, Clitheroe, also congratulated his pupils on the “best ever” results.
He said: “We are delighted by the excellent results our students achieved this summer. With teachers, staff and parents we have worked together to achieve Ribblesdale’s best ever result. Congratulations to all!”
