Councillors have overturned a decision to change the way complaints against its own members are investigated.
Ribble Valley Borough Councillors met last night to discuss a change to the procedure involved in investigating complaints against its own councillors.
The debate followed a decision made at a special meeting of Ribble Valley Borough Council's Accounts and Audit Committee meeting on November 21st, where Conservative members approved the changes.
However, this move prompted a backlash from opposition councillors with 16 agreeing to overturn the decision at last night's Full Council Meeting.
The decision to change the council's policies and procedures, follows a live complaint against the leader of the council, Coun. Ken Hind.
