UPDATE: Firefighters put out huge blaze on wasteland in Burnley
Crews have extinguished a big fire at a wasteland in the Sandygate area of the town.

The fire, which started earlier today and is believed to have involved large piles of pallets in land opposite the UClan student accommodation, caused plumes of smoke to billow across the town.
The exact cause of the fire is unknown and a spokesman for Lancashire Fire and Rescue said they couldn't say if it was started deliberately.
