Two dogs have died in a house fire in Clitheroe.

Fire crews were called out to Turner Street, Clitheroe, after fears there were people trapped inside a terraced house which had caught fire just after 11pm on Tuesday.

A spokesman for Lancashire Fire and Rescue Service said there were no people inside when fire crews arrived, but two dogs were killed.

They added that the cause of the fire is still under investigation.
