Massive pothole blighting village road has been fixed

A notorious pothole that had caused misery to motorists for months has been repaired.

Dedicated highways workmen from Lancashire County Council spent most of yesterday morning (Wednesday) fixing Billington's biggest source of complaint - a massive pothole outside the village's brass band club.

They also repaired potholes in Painter Wood and various other parts of the Ribble Valley.

Local councillor, Ged Mirfin, said he was absolutely delighted county hall decided to take action to repair the pothole.
