Major route re-opens two days after oil tanker accident
A major route, that has been closed since Wednesday after an oil tanker flipped on its side, re-opened this morning.
The A59 was closed for two days after the accident at 11am on Wednesday morning when the tanker collided with a van.
The road was closed in both directions while fire crews cleared away oil that had spilled onto the road.
Police also had to mount an operation to remove the tanker.
It is believed three people were injured in the accident.
