Langho woman’s rail death: inquest opens

An inquest has been opened and adjourned into the death of a Langho woman who was killed when she was hit by a train.

Lisa Loughney (29), who is believed to be from the Rogersfield area of Langho, died after being struck by the train on the track near Langho Railway Station on Sunday, February 9th.

The incident involved the 5-40 pm service from Clitheroe to Manchester Oxford Road and a spokesman for British Transport Police confirmed they were not treating the death as suspicious. The inquest was opened and adjourned at Blackburn last Thursday.
