There is expected to be some disruption to traffic on the main B6243 Edisford Bridge route into Clitheroe on Monday (April 20th).

A large tree next to Edisford Bridge is due to be felled by contractors. As it is right next to the road, there are likely to be a number of temporary but unavoidable road closures throughout the day as each section of the tree is cut down and removed.

Although these closures should only be for short periods, the work is expected to cause significant delays along this route into and out of the Low Moor end of Clitheroe.

The work is scheduled to take place between 9 am and 3 pm and motorists who would normally use this route are being advised to make alternative plans if possible.
