Residents from Castleford Home for Older People recently enjoyed a trip to Gibbon Bridge, Chipping.

On arrival staff members, Grace and Philip, greeted the residents with a warm and friendly welcome. They were shown onto the terrace, where cold refreshments were served, before they were shown around the beautiful gardens.

The grounds are wheelchair-friendly so everyone was able to enjoy the views and scenery. On returning to the terrace, the special visitors were shown into the dining area, where they all enjoyed afternoon tea and scones served with jam and clotted cream.

Staff at Gibbon Bridge were thanked for their hospitality, before returning home. A spokesman said: "Everyone had a wonderful afternoon."
