Much-admired musicians The Steve Berry Quartet will play live in Clitheroe on Thursday, January 27th, for the latest gig hosted by Ribble Valley Jazz and Blues.
With Steve Berry on bass, Mike Walker on guitar, Les Chisnall at the keyboard and Dave Walsh on drums, this quartet is renowned for its trademark re-imaginings of well-known standards. Their set will also include pieces from Steve's most recent albums and, hopefully, a new version of "Shelley" as featured on the hugely acclaimed Loose Tubes album "Dancing on Frith Street".
The gig takes place at the Atrium Caf Bar at Clitheroe Castle beginning at 8 p.m. and everyone is welcome. Tickets cost 12 on the door with a reduced price for club members and half-price for students and under-16s. The venue has a licensed bar, food and a car park.
The next club event will be on Thursday, February 24th, at the same venue, and will feature the Asaf Sirkis Trio. For more information about the club, membership or future events visit its website (www.rvjazzandblues.co.uk) or phone 07870 908159.
