A VILLAGE business is ensuring Christmas in Whalley remains bright and festive.
Whalley’s new Christmas lights have been sponsored for the next three years by Solar Power PV Ltd (SPPV).
Based on The Sidings Business Park, Whalley, SPPV Ltd specialises in the installation of Photovoltaic (PV) Solar Panels, which are capable of generating electricity even on a cloudy day.
SPPV director and owner of The Sidings Business Park, Andrew Ronnan, has brought together several Ribble Valley professionals and they have in turn linked up with a large German company based near Munich, called Volthaus GmbH who are Bavaria’s largest PV panel installer.
SPPV Ltd will be able to offer its UK customers in both the commercial and residential sectors top quality PV systems that link into the presently lucrative UK Feed in Tariff system, which the UK Government will be introducing on April 1st this year to encourage small scale, clean, renewable electrical generation.
Mr Ronnan said: “We are delighted to help Whalley look brighter this Christmas. SPPV can obviously relate its own business activity to products that require electricity so the sponsorship deal is a good one for all concerned.
“Generating electricity for the National Grid on a clean renewable basis results in significant carbon footprint reductions as well. We would then use The Sidings Business Park effectively as our Solar PV Showroom and provide the evidence of the financial and carbon saving returns to anyone interested in acquiring a PV system for themselves.”
