For the second year in a row the Rotary Club of Clitheroe have planted crocus bulbs in support of a national campaign to eradicate polio.

As part of Rotary UK and Ireland’s Purple 4 Polio campaign, local Rotarians have planted the bulbs on land situated diagonally opposite Clitheroe’s Tesco store on the grass strip of Waterloo Road.

These new bulbs should be in bloom in March at this site.

And they will complement last year’s crocus bulbs which were planted between the Sainsbury’s store and Greenacre Honda with the help of pupils from Ribblesdale High School.

These are in addition to the crocus bulbs planted by members of Ribblesdale Rotary Club at Clitheroe Parish Church.
