Clitheroe Christians in Partnership, which represents the Christian churches in the town, is staging a General Election hustings later this month.
Questions will be put to the four candidates who are Nigel Evans (The Conservative Party), David Hinder (Labour Party), Allan Knox (Liberal Democrat) and Graham Sowter (The Green Party) on seven topics.
These are health and social care, poverty/inequality, the economy, housing, the environment, immigration and Brexit.
Nigel Rix, chairman of Clitheroe Christians in Partnership, said: “We would welcome questions from local people on each of the seven topics.
“Please email me at firstname.lastname@example.org with the heading ‘Questions for candidates’ or phone on 01282 777647.”
Questions must be received with a name and telephone number by 5pm next Tuesday.
The authors of selected questions will then be invited to put their question to the candidates at the hustings event.
Mr Rix added: “Local Christians are concerned to improve the quality of life for everyone across the Ribble Valley with care for each other and a particular commitment to serve those who are disadvantaged.
“We look forward to an open debate among the candidates where each question is addressed with integrity and realism.”
The General Election hustings will be held at Trinity Methodist Church in Clitheroe at 7-30pm on Friday, May 26th.
“We look forward to challenging questions and a lively debate,” Mr Rix added.
