The Isle of Man police force is currently recruiting off-island to bridge a potential skills gap.
The force wants to recruit suitably-qualified detective constables who have already gained vital experience working elsewhere.
Inspector David Dobbie said: ‘This is an opportunity for experienced Detective Constables to become part of a high-performing team in the Isle of Man.
‘We need quality people who will support our culture of continuous improvement and who are prepared to meet whatever challenges come their way.
‘In return we can offer a varied and rewarding career in what is undoubtedly one of the best locations in the British Isles for police officers to live and work.’
The new recruits would join the island’s criminal investigation department. The move has been described as ‘succession planning to ensure the right mix of people and skills to respond to the challenges of modern policing’.
They would work in various areas, including public protection, financial crime and investigations. Closing date is 4pm on Friday, August 26.
