Poetry workshop in Chipping

WorkshopCheese and chairs is the subject of a free poetry workshop in Chipping Village Hall on Sunday, led by local poets Jo Harding and Theresa Robson.

It is part of the Forest of Bowland Area of Outstanding Natural Beauty Landscape Stories Project, a community heritage project aimed at understanding and celebrating the Bowland landscape by discovering more about the people and rural industries that have helped to shape it.

The workshop is open to writers of any level and is particularly suitable for beginners. Places need to be booked in advance with Sandra Silk at the Forest of Bowland AONB on 01200 448000 (sandra.silk@lancashire.gov.uk).

Pre-schoolThe pre-school children of Chipping Children's Community Alliance enjoyed their first trip on the mobile library bus. The children were able to choose a book each and are looking forward to reading them with their teachers at the pre-school. The children enjoyed story and song time with key stage one children at St Mary's primary school in Chipping led by Mrs Rogers.
