Two casualties taken to hospital after Whalley crash

Two people were taken to hospital yesterday (Monday) after a road traffic collision on Accrington Road in Whalley.

Fire crews from Clitheroe and Bacup attended the incident just after 5-30pm.

A spokesman for Lancashire Fire and Rescue said: "Two fire engines from Clitheroe and Bacup attended a road traffic collision on Accrington Road, Whalley. Two casualties had been released from their vehicle prior to the arrival of fire service personnel.

"Firefighters used a trauma pack and a hearth kit to make the seen safe. Both casualties were conveyed to hospital by North West Ambulance Service paramedics."
