The children loved digging in the mud and planting wildflowers in the fields before they got the chance to feed the calves and visit the goats and their kids.
And they were delighted to meet Gerome the cheekiest goat of all who insisted on following them round in search of extra food.
The highlight of the day was the woodland exploration adventure when the children discovered slugs, snails, worms and a frog.
They also loved stroking the sheep dog and were thrilled to watch the sheep being rounded up.
