Schoolgirl's kind donation after her own loss
Izzy Stephenson (eight) and her family decided to go on a special walk to scatter the ashes of Jake, their much adored Border Collie dog, after he died.
But Izzy decided it should become a sponsored walk to raise money for the Border Collie Trust charity originally.

Izzy then changed her mind about where she thought the money should go and she donated £100 to Pendleside Hospice and the rest to another little girl at the Accrington Riding Centre who is very poorly. Izzy wanted the money to help the child have some nice days out with her family.
Izzy’s kindness was rewarded when she was presented with a special headteacher’s award before the entire school during assembly where she was given a huge round of applause for her thoughtfulness.
