They include Nottingham ceramicist Emma Williams, whose work features layers of slips and vibrant, tactile glazes on decorative brooches and ceramic bowls.

Emma draws inspiration from observations of the natural world, particularly childhood seaside holidays spent beachcombing and rock-pooling.

The exhibition also showcases the in-demand sculptures of "paper pioneer" Jennifer Colliers.

Jennifer’s unique work, created from vintage recycled materials stitched together with rare heritage stitches, has been exhibited internationally and featured in over 60 magazines.

Local exhibitors include Langho illustrator Sam Rudd and Mellor woodturner Ken Barnes.

Platform Gallery supervisor Andrea Westall said: “The aim of this exhibition is to introduce and showcase some of the country’s most exciting craft-makers.

“It features the work of 20 of the best craft-makers in the UK and some truly unique pieces. We are particularly delighted to welcome Emma Williams and Jennifer Colliers, who exhibited at the gallery several years ago and have gone on to enjoy outstanding national careers. We have missed all our lovely customers and are thrilled to welcome them back with this delightful exhibition.”

A one-way system now operates at the gallery, with entry via the side door and exit via the main entrance.
