Pupils and staff at Pendle Primary School created a giant cyclist dressed in school uniform to celebrate Stage 2 of the Tour of Britain race.
The art installation on Clitheroe Cricket field, adjacent to the school, featured in the Tour of Britain coverage and caught the eye of the overhead helicopter and the race commentators.
Teacher Jo Schofield designed detailed plans which led to the creation of the eye-catching recycled sculpture.
Every child from Year One to Year Six was involved in setting up the art work, which was made from items of school uniform, classroom chairs, sports bibs and other materials. The younger children in school helped decorate the large banner with their own cyclists racing round the border.
As the racing cyclists returned to Clitheroe to complete the final kilometres of the race, Pendle Primary School pupils joined spectators to watch the tour pass through the town.
