If you have a burning desire to find out about your family history then why not head for Clitheroe Cricket Club next Tuesday? (February 9th)
A talk entitled ‘Bowland Scrapbook’ by Sue Holden will be held at 7-30pm and afterwards there will be a meeting and talk by the members of the Ribble Valley Family History Society who will try and answer any questions on Family History Research you have or point you in the right direction.
The group meets on the second Tuesday of the month at the cricket club in Chatburn Road, at 7.30pm with either a speaker on a local subject or giving a talk on research.
It is a branch of the Lancashire Family History and Heraldry Society which has a Research Centre for members use in Oswaldtwistle and is equipped with a library, computers with internet access and helpful volunteers to assist you in your research. Members can also visit other branches in Lancashire to help with their research.
