Real ale review: Nook of Pendle, Reedley Hallows Brewery

Burnley brewer, Reedley Hallows have launched their latest beer.

Nook of Pendle is their new brand, and will no doubt prove as popular as their other four core beers.

I sampled the new beer at the brewery on the Rossendale Road Industrial Estate – and these are my tasting notes.

Nook of Pendle is a strong ale, with a 5% ABV.

Amber in colour, it’s a medium bodied, smooth and warming tipple. It pours with a white fluffy head and has a dried fruit (raisins) and malty aroma.

The flavour has a moderate, dried fruity sweetness and a subtle hint of spice. There’s a soft mouthfeel to this flavoursome beer, leading to a lightly hopped, fruity smooth finish.

Nook of Pendle is now available, and being rolled out to pubs and clubs in the locality.
