One person had to be cut free from their vehicle after a two car collision in Nelson.

The incident happened just before 1pm in Reedyford Road yesterday and firefighters used holmatro cutting equipment to free the casualty who was assessed by North West Ambulance Service paramedics before being taken to hospital, with two other casualties, for precautionary checks.
Crews were at the scene for around an hour.
