REAL ale drinkers had barrels of fun at the seventh annual Clitheroe Beer Festival.
Ribble Valley MP Nigel Evans opened the two-day festival, which was held at the St Mary’s Centre, Church Street, Clitheroe and saw almost 1600 people sample ales from more than 50 different breweries.
Commenting on the success of the festival, Mr Evans said: “I was delighted to have been asked to open the Clitheroe Beer Festival. My own vocal support of the brewing and pub industries is unwavering and I am so pleased to be here today.
“There are many fantastic beers to sample and I would like to pay tribute to the organisers and volunteers who have made this festival possible.
“It has been a great success over the years it has been running and this year will be no different!”
