Professional film maker Steve Horrocks has worked on “Panorama” and recorded such famous people as Prince Charles, Sir Richard Branson, Donald Trump, ex- King Juan Carlos and Selina Scott.
So the enthusiastic amateurs of Ribble Valley Movie Makers were enthralled to have Steve as their special guest and get the benefit of his help and advice.
Steve and partner Liz Bloor run a production company, Ribble Film, which makes films and commercials for local businesses.
Steve talked to the club about his early life as a cameraman working for Grampian Television, formerly part of ITV, based in Inverness.
There he covered news items and filmed documentaries throughout the north of Scotland, including the Hebrides, Orkney and Shetland and including the Piper Alpha oil rig explosion more than 25 years ago.
Steve his new state-of-the-art camera which is revolutionising film production, and gave insights into sound and lighting during filming.
“Steve motivated club members to continue making their light-hearted films and venture out filming local events and businesses to capture history in the making,” said club official Brenda McLaughlin.
