The Met Office has issued a warning about very strong winds forecast for the next few days.
A yellow weather warning has been issued for the whole of the North West, with gusts of up to 65mph forecast.
Met Office spokesman John Hammond said: “Weather conditions over the next couple of days or so are showing no acknowledgement for the arrival of the summer month of June.
“Indeed, some very unseasonal weather during Monday and Tuesday for all of North West England means the Met Office has now issued a Yellow Warning of Wind.”
The warning is in place from 4pm Monday until 6pm Tuesday, with gusts of 50mph expected inland, and 60-65mph across the Irish Sea and on exposed coastal areas.
Mr Hammond added there could be travel disruption due to fallen trees on the roads.
On a more cheerful note, from Wednesday onwards, sunshine and good weather is predicted.
