Staff and pupils at Chatburn Primary School are sad to say farewell to two long serving members of staff who between them have 65 years of loyal service.
Mrs Eileen Dickinson has taught hundreds of pupils in both KS1 and KS2 to sing and play musical instruments and the school will miss her musical talents greatly. Her enthusiasm and love of music has been an inspiration to all at the school.
Mr Rodney Booth, the school’s site supervisor, has kept the school clean for nearly 40 years with a calm and quiet manner.
He could be relied upon for many odd jobs and has retrieved countless footballs from the school roof.
Staff and pupils presented them both with cards and gifts at a special assembly and wished them both much happiness in their well earned retirements.
