Music from The Grand Choir and CRGS Swing Band will provide a tuneful end to April with “A Serenade to Spring”.
The concert, which will take place at Trinity Church and Community Hub, Parson Lane, Clitheroe, on the evening of Monday, April 30th, is being organised by Clitheroe Mayor Maureen Fenton to support her chosen charities – Marie-Curie and Home-Start Pendle and Ribble Valley.
Coun. Fenton said: “I know, from my own experience and that of friends, how much difference the work of these two charities can make to families – Marie-Curie in supporting people caring for loved ones at the end of their lives and Home-Start for parents who need an ear to listen or an extra pair of hands to help cope them cope with young children.”
The Mayor, who is a creative writing tutor as well as a member of local writing groups, says there will also be “a poem or two” alongside the varied musical programme.
The concert will start at 7pm and tickets are priced at £7-50. These are available from Clitheroe Town Council, on Church Street, call 01200 424722 or email firstname.lastname@example.org, between the hours of 9am and 1pm, or Clitheroe Books, on Moor Lane, call 01200 444242.
