A unique and luxury cinema experience is set to make its debut in Clitheroe with the opening of Everyman.
Officials at the upmarket cinema chain have confirmed they have signed a lease for the new venture at Holmes Mill.
Core to Everyman’s pitch is not film, but a plush venue.
Last week Ribble Valley Borough Council received a licensing application from the London-based chain for the Weaving Shed area of the Greenacre Street site.
In a trading announcement to the Stock Exchange, Everyman confirmed it had signed four new leases, with Clitheroe joining Manchester, Plymouth and North Allerton in the next phase of their expansion plans.
The operator says it will be a stunning four-screen venue in Clitheroe with a bar and food offering.
A spokesman for Everyman added: “The directors maintain a positive outlook for the cinema industry and for the company in 2019.
“Audiences continue to enjoy film, and specifically the Everyman experience.”
Their latest openings have included sites in Altrincham, Liverpool, Glasgow and London’s Crystal Palace.
Everyman is renowned for redefining cinema. The chain boasts an innovative lifestyle approach to their venues, where cinema-goers swap their soft drinks for a nice glass of red wine and a slice of freshly made pizza served to their seats!
The licensing application for Clitheroe is to allow alcohol to be served at the site seven days a week until 2am.
There is no official date as to when the cinema will open and ticket prices haven’t been revealed.
