Fifteen children from Bowland Montessori Pre-School visited Alison Ashworth of Bowland Speciality Foods at Holmes Mill, home to Bowland Brewery.
The children’s recent topic work involved 3D shapes, including cones. What better cone is there for a four-year-old to identify, but an edible one containing vanilla ice cream?
With a cone for each child and the accompanying adults and a cup of coffee, Alison’s hospitality was appreciated by everyone.
Other activities during the week included decorating cone-shaped hats with autumn leaves and a traffic cone hunt around Clitheroe. Last but definitely not least, children took popcorn home in hand painted cone cups.
